Leila Arafat is an American actress who portrays an unnamed resident in Season 1 of CBS' Under the Dome.

Leila Arafat was born in the Philippines and moved to the States at about the age of three with her mother and grandmother. As a child, she would enter into her school's talent show every year, not because she wanted to win, but because she loved being on stage. Leila had a stutter, but still pursued her love of the performing arts. At the age of eleven, she auditioned for a role in a community production of School House Rock, and that is when she realized, her stutter completely disappeared when she was portraying a character.

She still has a slight stutter when she gets nervous but never when she is acting. Leila went on to highschool where she joined her school's dance production team, where she found she had a love for choreography, as much as she loved to dance. She put acting on hold while she focused on her dancing, which earned her a dance scholarship when she graduated.

Leila put the performing arts on hold when she decided to pursue a college degree, but could not decide on a major. She changed her degree at least ten times for about five years, before she decided to pursue acting full time. January 2013, she enrolled in acting and voice over classes with Insight School of Acting in Wilmington, NC. Leila scored a supporting role in her very first audition, for a short film "Strangers". She has done background work in "Under the Dome", "Tammy", and "Eastbound and Down". Seven months into her acting career, Leila was offered a contract with Reel Sisters Talent Agency.
