Before the DomeEdit
Little in known about Rodger before the dome appeared besides that he lived in Chester's Mill and was presumably good friends with Ollie Dinsmore.
Under the DomeEdit
Rodger is first seen at night, complaining with several people at the town hall. The next day, Rodger is seen sitting with Ollie in the Sweetbriar Rose, the two are talking about the military. Rodger says that he'd prefer them to figure out how to get him some more bacon as he opens his sandwich, Rose tells Rodger that bacon is the least of his worries. Later Carolyn asks Rodger and Ollie if they had seen Norrie, Ollie looks at the photograph of Norrie, Alice and Carolyn and asks how that works. Carolyn explains she and Alice are a same-sex couple and Ollie continues to taunt her, Rodger laughs along as Rose comes and persuades Carolyn to go with her. Big Jim then enters the diner, explaining that Paul had escaped from jail and that he needed help looking for him. Rodger and Ollie quickly agree, and eventually Barbie does too. While searching for him in the forest Rodger hides behind a tree once they spot Paul. Paul quickly fires a shot hitting Rodger in the knee-cap and warns that the next will be for his head. Big Jim tells Ollie to take Rodger back into town while he and Barbie continue after Paul, Ollie agrees as he helps Rodger to his feet.
