- "You think we're going to listen to you, Jim? You ran this town into the ground."
- —Roger to Big Jim.[src]
Before the DomeEdit
Hardly anything is known about Roger's life before the dome came down, except that he is a resident of Chester's Mill.
Under the DomeEdit
Roger is mentioned very briefly by Big Jim when he starts to name everyone who has a problem with him and mentions Roger. Big Jim states that Roger was mad because he didn't let him run the show when the windmill went up.
Roger is among the many townspeople who arrive at the school to hear Big Jim talk. Roger immediately goes against him and asks him if he really thinks that they'll listen to him after what he did. Big Jim tells Roger that he risked everything to set the townspeople free from the cocoons. Later, Roger asks Barbie and Julia what they have to do. Julia tells them to welcome people into their homes if they've lost their own. Christine Price doesn't feel that it is a good answer and begins telling them to find food for the town.
Barbie spots Roger at town hall and asks him if he's seen Christine and if she's been acting strange. The two have a little discussion and then Roger walks away.
Roger appears briefly outside the barn where Eva is giving birth. Barbie arrives there and immediately wants in, but Roger won't let him. Barbie pushes through him and another guard and goes inside to see Eva.
Roger is very briefly seen when Junior Rennie comes looking for Christine, who asks that he doesn't know where she is. Roger then tells Junior that the Kinship has a new queen.
